This Chippendale tray was painted in 1998 in the Telemark style using JoSonja acrylics. The tray I designed it out of wood, similar to metal trays. It measures 15 3/4” x 10” x 1 1/8”.
The Os tray was painted in 2002 using JoSonja acrylics on a Smoked Pearl background. It was also featured in a Kooler article. I designed the tray after my trip on the 2001 Vesterheim rosemaling tour. I love this tray and have painted it with many different designs. The tray measures 18” x 10 5/8” x 2 ¾” which includes short legs.
This Vest Agder tray was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 2002. The tray measures 18” x 10 5/8” x 2 ¾” which includes short legs.
The Vest Agder design is painted with traditional colors on this interesting tray. Its easily adaptable to other objects or even just the corner design can be repeated on table corners, drawers, etc.
This 20” Os octagon tray was painted in 2006 using JoSonja acrylics. It is basically a geometric design, but I used many different kinds of flowers so the cartouche is actually asymmetrical. The scene is based on a photo I saw of Os in the late 1800’s.
I painted this serving tray in the Valdres style, the center features a kind of faux finish painted on window and door mouldings found in Eastern Norway.
The tray measures 24 by 30 inches and is a great size for holding a placemat and meal service.
I combined these two similar Hordaland designs into one packet. The same background and design colors were used. I based these desgns on the early work of Annanias M Tveit.
This medium sized serving tray is 10 x 16 inches. It's a great size. I painted it with bright colors in the Os style.
This packet includes two basic Telemark designs for 6” plates painted in 2000 using JoSonja acrylics.
This 16” Valdres bowl was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 2006. The bowl comes from “Turn of the Century”, but the design could be easily painted on a plate.
This 16” Telemark bowl was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 2006. The bowl comes from “Turn of the Century”, but the design could easily be painted on a plate.
This Telemark design is painted on a 16 inch three beaded plate which comes from Hofcraft. I used values of blue for the background. Lettering which reads, "Life is full of the big things for the ones who are comfortable with the small things," circles the center design. For the border I used string of Telemark flowers.
I haven't painted this shelf in a long time; it was calling for a symmetrical Os design. It would be wonderful also painted on a Smoked Pearl background.
This towel holder is painted in the old Lesja style. It's really fun to paint with lots of stroke work and the tulips are really interesting.
