This Vest Agder tray was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 2002. The tray measures 18” x 10 5/8” x 2 ¾” which includes short legs.
In this style of Vest Agder there were lots of teardrops used for decoration. They can be found within scrolls and flowers as well as between flower, leaves and stems. I made a symmetrical design for this tray, although asymmetrical designs were also used. It’s a fun style to paint and I hope you’ll enjoy it. Red was also a popular background color for the area and could be used for this design.
The packet includes three pages of instruction, two enlarged photographs and the line drawing.
