This little box I taught at the 2012 Northwest Toleliners Convention.  It has a Smoked Pearl background, stippled with Pearl White and Rich Gold.  There are different stages of roses with daisies and filler flowers.

I have been waiting for a wood piece idea for a rose sampler and this was perfect.  I painted seven different styles of  roses inspired by different Rosemalers, one style per coaster.  I decided to use popular background colors from the style of each, however you could paint them all the same color.

I hope you will enjoy seeing the different kinds of roses through my eyes and my interpretation.

The coasters slide in and out through the top and it fits so nicely in a small wall area.  It measures 5 x 30 x 3/4.

This 1994 Roldal Stavekirke plate was painted using JoSonja’s acrylics on a 10” plate.

This design is painted on a napkin holder made by Creative Woodworks.  There is a different Os design on each side.  One side with a nisse attempting to decorate and the other a more typical Hordaland motif using a heart shaped design.

This Viking napkin holder was first painted in the Hallingdal style in 2006 using JoSonja acrylics.  The wood piece measures 10 ¾” x 7 1/8” x 4 “.

This mirror frame I have made several designs for.  I wanted to paint it with Os flowers this time.

I've been wanting to paint a wedding plate, so in August Otis and Megan have me the opportunity.  They are such a fun, bright young couple that I couldn't help but paint it in the Os style.

These are some of the ornaments I painted this year.  There are 22 Rosemaling designs for different lazer cut snowflakes in this packet.

This adorable little box is a great place to store a ring or gem.  It seemed natural it should have a nisse sitting under the mushroom cap.  I hope you'll enjoy painting this fun piece.
