Coaster Sampler Wood

I designed this wood piece from one similar I had seen in Japan.  It was perfect for the Rosemaling roses I wanted to paint as a sampler of different styles.  We made it to fit seven of the most popular styles. 

The piece measurers 5 x 30 x 3/4 inches.  The coasters slide out easily through the top opening.  The frame is made from alder and the coasters from 1/4 inch birch plywood.

This is an interesting and useful piece to hang in a small wall space you do not know what to do with.  There are many possibilities of things to paint on these coasters.
