The bowl is made from poplar and measures 8 1/2" in dia. x 2 3/4" deep. I wanted the rim divided into 5th, so the border design could be repeated in an interesting manner. After Paul Brooks (woodman) divided the sections and carved out the ovals he thought it looked like fish swimming toward the center. That's how it got it's name.
