This Telemark corner cabinet was painted using an asymmetrical design in 2005 using JoSonja acrylics. The cabinet measures 16 ½” x 34 ½” x 8 ½”.
In the Telemark area rosemaling was the most prolific and advanced in Norway. There were numerous very fine and skilled painters. The intertwining of scrolls and elegant flowers in asymmetrical designs are graceful and wonderful to look at as well as paint. Balancing color is more difficult, but interesting, and the flow through the design most important. This design is a good challenge and I hope you will want to paint it.
