This tine was first painted on a Teal Green background in 1995 using JoSonja acrylics in the Telemark style. It measures nine inches in diameter by four inches high.
In the Telemark area rosemaling was the most prolific and advanced in Norway. There were numerous very fine and skilled painters. The intertwining of scrolls and elegant flowers in asymmetrical designs are graceful and wonderful to look at as well as paint. I incorporated Hovden roses in the design for added interest.
