The Vaga Stav Church was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 1996 on a 10” scalloped plate.
Vaga is situated in the Gudbrandsdal area of Norway with the mountains all around. Carving was more important in this district than painting, so I used the acanthus scrolls in the border. When I photographed the church it was summer, but I wanted a winter scene.
The packet includes four pages of instructions using Jo Sonja acrylics, two photos and the line drawing.
