The Veum kirke near Fyresdal, Telemark was painted using JoSonja acrylics in 1999 on a 12” scalloped plate.
Located near Fyresdal in Telemark, Veum is a very small mountain community. This church was built in the 1860’s and is new by Norwegian standards. The old one was torn down and replaced by this church. I intended this to be my 1999 Christmas plate, but it ended up with leaves on the trees, not a Norwegian winter. The Telemark border is typical for the area.
