Hundrop Church Plate Pattern Packet

The Hundorp church was painted using Jo Sonja’s acrylics in 1996 on a 10” scalloped plate.

This unusual church caught my attention as it’s Russian influence is unusual for the area and it’s location in Hundorp easily draws one’s attention.  I decided to use some of the simple floral painting, similar to the Faberg style, from southeastern Norway to frame the landscape.  Garlands of flowers were sometimes painted on the walls below the ceiling, the flowers being more realistic than in most other styles of Rosemaling.   They have a more city-like flavor and a European feel.

The packet includes four pages of instruction using JoSonja acrylics, two photographs and the line drawing.
