This Osterdalen style plate was designed for the zoom Rosemaling Styles Course. Since this area is a large valley rich in farming, the people more wealthy. They could aford decorating their furniture and homes. We find examples of landscapes, people, animals, and flowers cascading down on ropes and ribbons. I tried to incorporate some of these on this small six inch plate.
It was painted with Jo sonja acrylics on an eight Inch poplar plate.
